Generally, initial confirmations go out 3 months prior to the next flight.
YES! We have recently begun taking Korean War veterans on our flights. Please note that our WWII Veterans do take priority, though. We keep all Korean War veterans’ applications on file, and selections for the flights are made in the order the applications are received. Applications can be mailed to our PO Box.
Our TOP priority is the safety of our veterans! All guardians are required to attend an orientation session – family members, included. A family member, or a guardian who the veteran chooses, is given priority over a volunteer – as long as they meet all the required criteria.
No. Spouses are not permitted to travel on an Honor Flight.
The cost is FREE for the honored veterans. You do not need to bring any money, unless you intend to purchase souvenirs.
Veterans are generally selected and flown on a “first-come, first-served basis.” Within the applicants, top priority is currently given to WWII veterans and veterans with terminal illnesses.
