Hudson Valley Honor Flight to Celebrate Major Milestones with Gala Event
WALDEN, N.Y. (May 9, 2022) — Hudson Valley Honor Flight (HVHF) will celebrate 10 years and 2,000 veterans honored with a gala event on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the beautiful Tetz Family Clydesdales Farm in Chester, NY.
The gala will feature food, drinks, music and dancing under a newly constructed permanent open-air barn roof. This unique countryside estate will provide a memorable setting for this one-of-a-kind event. The cost to attend the gala is $200. All proceeds go to fund future honor flights for local veterans.
“10 years and 2,000 veterans sounds like a reason to throw a party to me!,” said HVHF Chairman Frank Kimler. “We want to thank all of our dedicated volunteers from the past 10 years. Without those volunteers and the financial backing of our sponsors Hudson Valley Honor Flight simply would not exist.”
“When we’re not flying, we’re planning for our next flight!,” said Jennifer DeFrancesco, HVHF Executive Director. “But in this case, we are pausing to reflect on the past 10 years of Hudson Valley Honor Flight and remembering all of the special moments. We’re looking forward to welcoming our supporters and celebrating these two major milestones!”
Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available. Please see our event calendar for details.
HVHF provides a once-in-a-lifetime flight to Washington, D.C., where veterans are transported around the district by bus to visit the various war memorials, attend a dinner in their honor and then return home. Each veteran is escorted by a personal guardian and the HVHF flight team for the day-long trip. Honored veterans fly free! Guardians pay a sliding-scale fee.
