Volunteer Application

1. As photographic and video equipment are frequently used to memorialize and document Hudson Valley Honor Flight trips and events, his/her image may appear in a public forum, such as the media or a website, to acknowledge, promote or advance the work of Hudson Valley Honor Flight. I hereby release the photographer/videographer and Hudson Valley Honor Flight from all claims and liability relating to said photographs/videos. I hereby give permission for my images captured during Hudson Valley Honor Flight activities through video, photo or other media, to be used solely for the purposes of Hudson Valley Honor Flight promotional material and publications, and waive any rights, compensations or ownership thereto.

2. I further state that medical insurance is the responsibility of the Volunteer and I understand that Hudson Valley Honor Flight does NOT provide medical care. I understand that I accept all risks associated with travel and other Hudson Valley Honor Flight activities and will not hold Hudson Valley Honor Flight responsible for any injuries incurred by me while participating in the Hudson Valley Honor Flight program.

3. I also state that I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hudson Valley Honor Flight, its agents and Board of Directors, from any and all liability arising out of or in consequence of, or injury sustained as a result of, any activity connected with myself or my child(ren) while participating in the Hudson Valley Honor Flight program.

4. As a community-supported organization, Hudson Valley Honor Flight relies on the dedication of our volunteers. To keep the focus on our mission—honoring veterans for their service—we ask that volunteers do not use our name, logo, or affiliation to promote outside causes, including political, business, or special interest efforts. We also request that volunteers refrain from wearing or distributing materials that promote anything unrelated to our mission.

5. When you are volunteering for Hudson Valley Honor Flight, you are representing our organization. Please be mindful of your behavior and interactions with others at all times. Additionally, dress appropriately for the specific event you are supporting.
