Veterans from World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam and Iraq/Kosovo will depart on Hudson Valley Honor Flight’s Mission 21 to Washington D.C. All are welcome to honor our heroes and give them the send-off and welcome home that many of them never received but they so rightfully deserve. There will be a total of 84 veterans on this flight. Of them, 24 are World War II veterans, 4 are World War II/Korean War veterans; 1 is a post-World War II veteran; 50 are Korean War veterans; 4 are Vietnam veterans; and 1 is a Iraq/Kosovo veteran.
Here is a breakdown of the veterans by county:
New York: Cattaraugus – 1; Dutchess – 14; Fairfield – 1; Orange – 17; Putnam – 4; Rockland – 10; Staten Island – 1; Sullivan – 3; Ulster – 15; Warren – 1; and Westchester – 9.
New Jersey: Bergen – 5; Passaic – 1; and Sussex – 1.
Pennsylvania: Pike – 1.
