Hudson Valley veterans take Honor Flight to Washington
WESTCHESTER – Over 70 veterans from the Hudson Valley were invited to take an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.
Local veterans, including 52 from Westchester, gathered at Westchester Airport to be honored by Honor Flight Network, a nonprofit organization created to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices.
The organization transports the veterans to Washington, D.C., where they can visit and reflect at their memorials, including the World War II Memorial, Vietnam and Korean War memorials.
